Tobacco & Tree Dieta
December 9–16, 2026
Remote Virtual Dieta
The Plant Dieta
The plant dieta is an opportunity to learn from one of the Master Plant teachers and develop a deeper relationship with the plant.
“Dieting” is a traditional process through which one works deeply with a plant for healing, learning, and personal transformation.
The dieta is undertaken in isolation, either on land immersed in nature or within the quiet confines of one’s room, recreating as closely as possible the traditional dieting process in the jungle.
This intentional solitude gives participants the opportunity to be deeply present with themselves, observe and understand the mind, and create the conditions for the plant to work as fully and deeply as possible.
The Dieta Process
During the dieta, food is intentionally kept to a minimum to allow the plant to work as deeply as possible.
Participants will prepare and drink a juice or smoothie, or eat a light soup twice a day—just enough to maintain the physical strength necessary to undertake the plant diet.
Detailed instructions for food preparation will be provided after acceptance into the dieta.
A Remote, Solitary Dieta
The remote dieta is intended to be undertaken in isolation.
This is not a social dieta.
Participants need to find a place where they can be alone for the seven days of the dieta. This could be:
- A tent on their own land
- A private room within a house
- Another private space where they can remain undisturbed
Other people may be present in the home. What matters is that the participant can remain in their own space and avoid social contact throughout the dieta.
The intention is to create an environment of solitude that allows the participant to turn inward and remain deeply connected to the process.
The Guides
The dieta will be guided by Jason Grechanik and Merav Artzi.
Together, they have worked with and guided more than a thousand people through ceremonies and healing work with a variety of plants.
Participants will work with both an experienced male and female guide, receiving daily support, teaching, and guidance throughout the dieta.
The Trees & Plant Teachers
The dieta will work with several Amazonian trees, as well as eight Celtic trees:
- Oak
- Hawthorn
- Elder
- Alder
- Blackthorn
- Birch
- Apple
- Willow
The work is conducted through the medium of tobacco, a plant traditionally associated with cleansing, energetic opening, and connection with the spirit of plants.
Tobacco is considered a great plant teacher and, in some traditions, the great plant teacher.
Working with local trees also offers participants an opportunity to connect with the medicine and wisdom of their own land.
Developing a physical and spiritual relationship with a tree growing near where one lives can create an intimate connection to the land and its medicine.
The organizers have been inspired by the relationships participants have developed through working with indigenous trees from their own regions.
Choosing & Preparing the Medicine
After acceptance into the dieta, Merav or Jason will have a consultation with each participant.
During this consultation, they will:
- Conduct a diagnosis
- Determine which tree the participant will work with
- Explain how to prepare the medicine themselves, or
- Arrange for prepared medicine to be mailed to the participant
Daily Work
Because participants will be joining from different parts of the world, the organizers will work to find a time that accommodates the group.
The schedule will most likely fall around:
- Early morning — Pacific Time
- Midday — Eastern Time
- Evening — Europe
The specific schedule will be confirmed with each participant before the dieta begins.
Merav and Jason will work with each participant every day throughout the dieta, alternating between them:
One day with Merav → the following day with Jason.
Group Size
This dieta is offered to a small group, with the group size most likely limited to eight participants.
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
